The Aleph Music Users Group exists as a forum for discussion of issues relating to music materials of all formats. We have met annually since 2001 in conjunction with the annual meetings of the Music Library Association.

At our most recent meeting in Pittsburg on March 2, 2007, the bulk of the discussion focused on the challenges of being part of a consortium. Fifteen music librarians representing thirteen institutions from the United States and Canada and at least 4 US consortia were present. Although we do not have a formal membership (anyone from any Aleph institution is welcome), we make an effort to include systems and public service librarians in our discussions.
