Aleph X Server
The Aleph X-Services Interest Group met at ELUNA 2007 on June 7, 2007. There were approximately 20 individuals in attendance. As this was essentially the first meeting, there were items to discuss such as: How the enhancement process should work. It was recommended that we work with the Aleph Product Group as well as share ideas and request via the ELUNA-ALEPH-XSERVER list; It was noted that with the departure of Katriel, we no longer have, to our knowledge, an Ex Libris employee championing the Aleph X-Server. Ex Libris staff were in attendance and made note of this as well; There was a realization and confirmation of the need to push for standardization of x-server syntax & semantics across products; A decision was made that the interest group is worthwhile and should plan to meet at least annually at ELUNA as well as make use of the list and other methods, such as a Wiki, to communicate ideas for use and enhancements along with assisting each other with troubleshooting. Many Aleph Special Interest Groups have email lists. Check: http://el-una.org/web/aleph-group-mailing-lists.
