Reporting to the Director of Resource Discovery Services (RDS), the MSU Manager oversees a unit that performs data extraction and enrichment, schema mappings and transformations, research data information management, and development of linked data services. The unit’s work involves a high level of collaboration with colleagues across the library and broader communities in developing and maintaining data standards, practices, and tools.
The MSU Manager provides supervision and mentorship and plays a key role in building up the metadata community of practice at Yale. The incumbent participates in regional, national, and international professional activities, both to contribute to the profession and to grow individually as a librarian.
As part of the RDS leadership team, the MSU Manager participates in the development and implementation of department- and library-wide goals and initiative.
