Jason Griffith – ELUNA Steering Committee (2022-2028) – Chair
University of Kentucky, UK Libraries (Lexington, KY)
Systems Librarian
Ex Libris Products: Alma, Primo VE, CDI, Alma Digital, RapidILL, Rialto
I have been a Systems Librarian since 2017 and have served in that role at two ELUNA institutions that license Ex Libris products – the University of Kentucky (2021-present) and Morehead State University (2017-2020). I coordinated the implementation of Primo VE at both institutions and coordinated the implementation of Alma Digital and Rialto at the University of Kentucky. I was elected to serve a three-year term on the ELUNA Steering Committee in 2022 and served as the liaison to Rosetta and Esploro from 2022 to 2023. I was elected as Deputy Chair of ELUNA in 2023 and will begin my 3-year service as ELUNA Chair following the conclusion of the 2024 ELUNA Annual Meeting. This service will end following the 2027 ELUNA Annual Meeting and I will continue as Past Chair from 2027 to 2028. Before joining the Steering Committee, I attended the ELUNA Annual Meeting in person from 2017 to 2019 and the online meeting from 2020 to 2022.
I have also been an active member in my regional user group – the Ex Libris Bluegrass User Group (eBUG) – since 2015. I served as Deputy Chair from 2021 to 2022 and Chair from 2022 to 2023. As eBUG Chair, I led the effort to host the first in-person eBUG Annual Meeting post pandemic, which took place in 2023.
Since becoming involved in the ELUNA Steering Committee, I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience and had the pleasure of meeting and collaborating with many brilliant and innovative colleagues in the field. It has been rewarding to be involved in an organization with the vision and passion to support the Ex Libris user community. I hope my service as ELUNA Chair will lead to more growth in the community, and I hope to continue to be involved in ELUNA after that service is complete.
