There is still time to get your nominations in for ELUNA Steering Committee candidates! The deadline for submitting a nomination is 5:00 pm CST Wednesday, March 10, 2010.
The ELUNA Nominating Committee is now calling for nominees for election to the ELUNA Steering Committee. This year, four people will be elected. Five members of the current Steering Committee will continue to serve during the coming year. They are Bob Trotter (incoming Chair), Pascal Calarco (Current Chair/Past Chair 2010-11) Kristine Hammerstrand (Secretary), and Laura Morse. The four Steering Committee members whose terms expire in 2010 are Edward Corrado, Wil Frost, Gary Johnson and Suzanne Julich. Janet Lute, who has been serving an ex officio term as Past Chair, will also end her current term this year.
Please note that the current term of office for Steering Committee members is two years, but a bylaws change will soon be balloted on changing these to three-year terms. Please consider this potential change of term when making nominations.
Staff at any institution that is a member of ELUNA or any institution that is part of a consortium that is a member of ELUNA are eligible to serve on the Steering Committee. You may nominate yourself or another person. ELUNA Steering Committee members are expected to attend the ELUNA annual conference, and strongly encouraged to attend the annual meeting of the International Group of Ex Libris Users, IGeLU.
