During December of 2014 the ELUNA Steering Committee held a Summit in St. Louis, Mo. The Steering Committee focused this Summit on Primo and invited the ELUNA Primo/MetaLib PWG along with some additional leaders in the Primo community. All invited attendees to the Summit participated in small and large group discussions outlining Primo issues and proposing solutions that the Product Working Group gathered to produce a final report.
The final report was created based on the issues and solutions discussed at the Summit and subsequent rankings based on survey results. This report consists of a clear description of the issue(s), current impact on the community, and suggested changes or solutions. The overall goal of the Summit was to focus on key problem areas and draft proposals that the Steering Committee could take to Ex Libris & IGeLU for discussion.
The final report was shared with IGeLU for comments and submitted to Ex Libris. Members of the Steering Committee and the PWG met with Ex Libris during ALA Midwinter in Chicago to discuss the findings. This shared meeting focused was very productive and we found that Ex Libris was very interested in discussing the report and the findings.
