Organizational Updates (May 2026)

Dear community,

I hope all are doing well as many of us are winding up the spring semester! It has been a busy time for ELUNA lately, so I have a few organizational updates I would like to share:

  1. I want to thank each and every one of you who attended the ELUNA Annual Meeting last week in Los Angeles, California! We had 618 total attendees, with 169 first-time attendees, and we really appreciate your attendance and support! For those who were unable to attend this year – don’t worry! We will be adding presentations from the ELUNA Conference to the ELUNA Document Repository soon so you can check out all the great presentations from our community! I would also like to thank the ELUNA Steering Committee, ELUNA Leadership Group Chairs, the Annual Meeting Program and Events Planning Committees, Clarivate management, and all our sponsors for all you contributed in making the event a success!
  2. I am happy to announce that ELUNA Constitution and Bylaws revision passed! Thank you to everyone in the community who voted, and if you would like to see the new Constitution and Bylaws, you can view them here.
  3. In conjunction with the passing of the new Constitution and Bylaws, I am also happy to announce that the ELUNA Steering Committee is seeking volunteers to fill the position of ELUNA Secretary! The Secretary position has historically been filled by a Steering Committee member voted in at-large, but with the growing portfolio of Ex Libris products offered by Clarivate and the need for the Steering Committee to appoint a liaison to each product, we felt that having a full-time Secretary would be greatly beneficial for the organization. This is an Ex Officio, non-voting position, but it is of major strategic importance for the organization. For more information and to submit your nomination, please complete the nominations form.
  4. There are a few changes to positions held by Steering Committee members. These are:
    • Kirsten Clark is the new Incoming Chair and will transition into the Chair position at the conclusion of the 2027 ELUNA Annual Meeting.
    • Jennifer Matthews is the new Incoming Education Coordinator and will transition into the Education Coordinator position in 2029.
    • Jamen McGranahan will now serve as the Steering Committee liaison to the Alma-D and Leganto Working Groups and will transition into the Alma Working Group liaison position in 2027.
    • Sara Rizzo will now serve as the Steering Committee liaison to the Esploro and Rosetta Working Groups and will transition into the Content Working Group liaison position in 2027.
  5. Finally – save the date – the 2027 ELUNA Conference will take place from May 17-21, 2027! We will be returning to beautiful Minneapolis, MN and the Hilton Minneapolis for the first time since 2024. We can’t wait to see you all there!

Kind regards,

Jason Griffith, ELUNA Chair (2024-2027)
