Modernizing E-Book Selection and Acquisition with Mosaic and Alma.  Carol Seiler, Account Services Manager, Library Tech Services, GOBI; Natasha Vejar, Agile Product Manager II, EBSCO. (Gold Sponsor)

Libraries are balancing growing e-book demands with increasingly complex selection and acquisitions workflows. In this session, learn how Mosaic helps Alma libraries streamline collection development by connecting selectors, acquisitions teams, and ordering workflows in a single experience. We’ll explore current capabilities, including selector workflows and system integrations, and discuss how libraries can improve efficiency, collaboration, and visibility across the e-book acquisition process. Attendees will also get a look at emerging workflow enhancements designed to support the future of collection development.

Mission Control for Course Resources: Launching Engineering Readings through Outreach and Leganto Analytics.  Ven Basco, Academic Engagement Librarian, University of Central Florida; Ying Zhang, Associate University Librarian (AUL), Rutgers University New Brunswick; Kristine J. Shrauger, Head of Document Delivery & Resource Sharing, University of Central Florida Libraries.

Leganto is viewed as a Course Reserves tool, but its greatest value lies in supporting data-driven collection management, syllabus and curriculum alignment, and student success. This presentation explores how UCF libraries can use Leganto as a collaborative platform to support STEM teaching and learning through analytics and cross-departmental workflows.

Attendees will learn how subject librarians can collaborate with Leganto librarians to provide faculty outreach; using reading list data to identify courses that have library sourced materials, uncovering collection gaps, and guiding textbook acquisitions.

Participants will gain practical approaches for leveraging Leganto analytics to demonstrate library impact, optimize resource investments, and strengthen partnerships with STEM faculty and academic programs.

Pesky POLs and Other Pernicious Purchasing Problems. Carrie Curie, Electronic Access Lead Librarian, PALS: A Program of Minnesota State.

While it’s not quite the capers of a famous chortling cartoon dog and friends in foiling an inept villain’s plans, POL-generated chaos can cause you headaches in Alma. Come learn about some ways POLs can block you from successfully navigating the purchasing workflow, some cleanup you can proactively pursue, and other Acquisitions phenomena that block you from achieving perfect (let’s go for near-perfect for your peace of mind) purchasing workflows in Alma.
