The ELUNA Steering Committee and Ex Libris have made the decision to proactively move the 2021 in-person annual events scheduled for May in Atlanta, Georgia to virtual meetings due to continued COVID-19 safety concerns and ongoing travel restrictions.
The Ex Libris Knowledge Delivery team will offer a special bi-weekly webinar series covering the most requested Knowledge Days sessions. The Knowledge Days trainings will be available to all customers via live webinars scheduled in Spring 2021 at no cost.
Register below for the no fee online series of Annual Meeting sessions with updates from the ELUNA Steering Committee, ELUNA Working Groups, and Ex Libris Management. Click on session titles below to see speakers, abstracts, and links to registration. All events will be recorded and available to view on demand. After the ELUNA 2020 Annual Meeting live sessions are all held, the slides presented will be posted. Ex Libris will post their presentations to the Ex Libris Knowledge Center. Reflecting on the past year, the theme of resource-sharing is prominent throughout our shared experience of the pandemic. Whether policies, procedures, code, tips, tricks or collections, the community has demonstrated its resiliency through consultation and collaboration with one another on a micro and a macro level. Allen Jones, the current steering committee chair of ELUNA, will speak to the challenges we collectively face on the return to campus. While we have put quick solutions in place, the fog of panic is lifting, and we are considering the delicate balance of standards and customization again. Allen will frame many of the challenges for ELUNA in the coming year – resource-sharing, content standards, inter-operability, linked open data, and discovery standards.
