2026 Sherrie Kristin Memorial Scholarship Awardee

Natalie Polson

This year, ELUNA awarded Natalie Polson the Sherrie Kristin Memorial Scholarship. The award provides recipients with complimentary registration and accommodation at the annual conference.  It is always a competitive award, with many nominations submitted each year.

The ELUNA Steering Committee honors the memory and the many contributions of the late Sherrie Kristin with an annual ELUNA conference scholarship in her name. Sherrie contributed decades of service to the EndUser and ELUNA user groups, serving as a Regional User Group leader, a Product Working Group Chair, and a Steering Committee member. Of particular note was her dedicated work to ensure the success of ELUNA events.  Sherrie contributed untold hours and energy toward planning and organizational tasks because she believed the knowledge gained and peer networks built through the EndUser and ELUNA communities directly contributed to individual and institutional success.

Natalie Polson’s library career includes 20 years of service in the higher education and academic sector, serving in various staffing roles in areas such as Stacks Maintenance and Technical Services; Circulation and Course Reserves; Serials; Acquisitions and Cataloging; and Access Services and Interlibrary Loan. Currently, Natalie serves as the Electronic Resources Librarian, Visiting Professor, at Eckerd College, where she works closely with faculty, staff, and students. Her work involves serial invoice renewal and reviewing licensing agreements, as well as configuring, activating/deactivating, and maintaining e-journals and e-book collections within ALMA/PRIMO VE. Natalie’s interest in the visual arts and design is expressed through her digitization work, which involves curating archival materials and making files discoverable through the ALMA Digital Collections platform. She is especially interested in workflow refinement, streamlining day-to-day processes, and leveraging staff skills to maximize the library system’s functionality.

Congratulations Natalie!  She will receive a certificate during the Wednesday morning opening ceremonies at ELUNA 2026, April 29, 2026, Los Angeles, CA.  Come join us!
