In July 2025, Yale Library migrated from Voyager and the Ex Libris 360 suite of products to Alma. Anticipating an unmanageable number of duplicate records across both systems, e-resources staff spent the final eight months before migration identifying and analyzing records in Voyager and 360 against the Alma Community Zone. 

As a result, we were able to identify and implement strategies in both systems to reduce duplication after migration. For our MARC records, this effort simplified the logic required to generate a P2E file and led to the successful exclusion of over 1 million e-records from the migration and P2E process. For our 360 collections, we made strategic selections and de-selections that enabled cleaner Community Zone activations post-migration. 

This presentation details Yale’s pre-migration deduplication efforts and the analysis and methodologies employed to achieve this success. 

Electronic Resource Management at a New Institution. Tabitha Ochtera, Electronic Resources and Collection Assessment Librarian, Brooklyn College, CUNY. 

Libraries are always changing but staff change too. In 2025, after a decade working at Molloy University, Tabitha Ochtera made a switch to Brooklyn College, part of the CUNY system. There were many expected changes when making the move from a private Catholic institution to a public consortial institution, but revisiting and establishing electronic resource management in Alma at the institutional level was not one of them. 

While both institutions used Alma/Primo, there was a significant difference in what information was being stored and which Alma components and workflows were being utilized, as well as overall succession planning considerations. Join Tabitha as she discusses this transition, the challenges, echoes of past librarians, and strategies to date.
