To RapiDO or RapiDON’T: That is the Question!. Loftan Hooker, Head, Access Services, Virginia Commonwealth University; Tim Siegel, Enterprise Systems Librarian, Virginia Commonwealth University (Clarivate-Platinum Sponsor).
Join us on an adventure that started with a simple question: “Can’t we just place holds in Alma?” that led to a complete migration to a new Resource Sharing platform, Rapido, and everything in between. You’ll get a first-hand account of the successes, challenges, and thought processes that occur as we plan for and implement a complete system migration and associated workflows, while also prepping a move to an off-site, high-density storage solution.
Working Together: How RapidILL Built Bridges. Jessica Hartwigsen, Electronic Resources Librarian, California State University; Chris Lee, Resource Sharing Manager, California State University.
Working together, ERM, Acquisitions, Collection Development & Resource Sharing areas are working together to obtain license information, set up licenses in Alma, and add the RapidILL lending notes to Alma e-collections. Also, after setting up licenses and adding the note, publishing profiles set up to send the information to RapidILL.
Marketing Leganto Through Strategic Outreach to Partners, Faculty, and Students. Renee Cole Montgomery, Outreach & Engagement Librarian, University of Central Florida; Joe Bizon, Learning Resources Librarian, University of Central Florida.
As we seek to simplify access to course materials, Leganto offers a robust solution. But getting everyone on board hinges on effective outreach efforts and partnerships. This session explores strategies for marketing Leganto across campus, focusing on key external constituents, internal partners, faculty, and students. From targeted communications and elevator speeches to data-driven storytelling. Attendees will gain insight into identifying key partners, crafting targeted elevator speeches, building library-faculty relationships, and establishing Leganto as an important tool for academic success. Whether you are just hitting the ground running with Leganto or looking to widen its impact, this session will help guide you on building buy-in and boosting usage.
