Upcoming Rapido Working Group Webinar

Andrew Parker - Systems Librarian, Brandeis University Library

The ELUNA Rapido Working Group will be sponsoring a talk from IDS Project’s Mark Sullivan on their truly exciting resource sharing middleware product called CrossLink. This talk will take place on January 7th at 2:00 EST. Registration link

CrossLink is not another interlibrary loan system (that would be weird for the Rapido Working Group to want to talk about!) but instead is intended to bridge the gap between libraries that use different resource sharing systems like Rapido, ILLiad, etc. This is accomplished using the ISO 18626 standard, but with much less configuration than is currently involved with setting up many peer-to-peer ISO connections individually.

Mark’s presentation should be very similar to the CrossLink presentation he gave at October’s Ex Libris Northeast User Group for anyone that attended there, but with a few updates for subsequent developments.

For those that cannot attend live, we will make a recording available on the Rapido Working Group webpage afterward.

Hope to see you there!
